Great sounds and design. Completely coherent with Kraftwerks Music Non Stop proposal.

I love Kraftwerk but hoped for mire

Doesnt use augmented sound at all. RJDJ, Trippy Replay and Inception are all augmented sound apps which work great and do what this one only claims to: offer 24 hour soundscapes. Inception is free, RJDJ has the ability to record to the limit of your iPhones memory (longest Ive recorded was over 9000 seconds) and RJDJ can export tracks easily to the web and even costs half the price of Kraftwerks offering. I trust Kraftwerk will at least make it work in the background so I can switch my screen off and keep listening. Even the free app Inception (which is not only free but clever triggers in your movements unlock new levels and regular soundscape updates keep it getting better and better) is more versatile. Heres hoping Kraftwerk will take this app further!

Dont know what youve been missing

Great app. Kraftwerk transforms sound, space & time.

Very cool!

It has new Kraftwerk sounds but the app throws a new angle as usually Kraftwerk is very linear, streamlined and melodic. Because of the nature of the app the sounds are more random and ambient. Its better to think of this as an interactive Kraftwerk creation rather then a music creation tool. If you think youre getting a full sequencer that will create exactly what you want youll be disapointed. Make sure you listen on headphones only, as the iPhone speaker cant do justice to the richness and detail of the sounds. non-stop music generation has been a theme of theirs forever. Its interesting to see their first step in the real thing.

I Love Kraftwerk But !!!!

im very disappointed by the app its doest do much And those not sound at all like Kraftwerk an update will be very APPreciated

no sound on the iPad?

The iphone version worked fine. Put it on ipad and not hearing any sound from the app, even with volume level set at 100%.

Out of touch

Remember the days when kraftwerk were ahead of their time? Calculate how late to the party they are with this inferior and pale echo of glory. Neither useful as a tool or provocative as art this "piece" will make you feel old.

Kaput

Fun for about ten minutes. Its not worth 8.99. There are much better generative synthesizers out there for the iPhone.

Meh.

Worth $2, sure. $3? If youre a Kraftwerk fan. $5? A fanboy, perhaps but $9? No. Interesting to play with probably more under the skin than we realize, but heres hoping updates show a bit more glitter.

Chill

If youre looking for a cool, intuitive music app for tinkering around with ambient sounds this is a good bet. The note grid is probably the highlight for me. A good app for chilling out on the crowded subway ride home.

Nifty

It might be confusing at first - would have been nice to have more detailed instructions - but once you get into it, its easy to let it go for a while and take you on a generative journey. Lovely sounds and a pretty interface. Would be great if it continued to work with the screen locked!

More like Eno than Ralf & Florian

First, I love Kraftwerk! However this app is way too ambient, with little of the percussive beat, drive and sounds of the boys from Dusseldorf. Semi-useful as an ambient generator but I agree with the pricing comments - at $2 it would be fine, at $9 I expect a lot more. Lets hope they update!

Very buggy, needs an update

Surprisingly buggy software from Kraftwerk. The iPad versions audio does not work. No sound. For $9 this should not happen..

Unworthy of the band

As a MAJOR fan of Kraftwerk, this app does not come close to doing them justice. Its very limited at this price point, and frankly, Kraftwerk has more experimentation in any one song than you can get using this app(including on their FREE website). The iPad and iPhone music space is serious business, not for dabblers. I hope the devs step up to the brand and add more useful music-making features.

Great fun new sort of music app

This app is in a weird space somewhere between a sequencer, genrative music app, and conceptual art piece. If youre expecting a sequencer app, youll be disappointed. If youre up for a music generator over which you have partial control and you like Kraftwerk, youll love this app. Its cheaper than buying a CD and you can generate way more Kraftwerkesque ambient music than would fill a box of CDs. Itd be great if you could make it so it continues to play in the background if you switch to a different app. ***** updated version adds drums! Worth the price just for that

Er...

Its just not worth the money (and this is coming from someone who owns all of Kraftwerks albums). Its basically a glorified noisemaker worth two or three bucks at most.

App complaint

Of all the designers to fail at making an app, I would have never expected kraftwerk to succeed so massively with this upgrade. To my shock, after downloading this app it is incapable of generating any sound. Kraftwerk, please fix this as soon as possible because I think that kling klang machine 1 was a great app and fulfilled the bands long time ambitions to create a product of auto music.

Non-Functioning App!

Yes, My excitement of finding a genuine Kraftwerk App was dashed when the downloaded app refuses to make a single sound. Eeeek. Certainly not what I had expected from the band whose Autobahn was my very first vinyl purchase back in 1973. Fix this please!

No sound

There is no sound on the iPad. It shouldnt say it is compatible with the iPad if it isnt.

Brain Dead

At first it was crashing each time I switched screens. Now that it has mysteriously started working, I wonder why I wasted $3.99 on this. The sequencer makes no sense to me. What is the point of this app? Just to move stuff around and hear beeping noises at different octaves? I cant believe Kraftwerk signed off on this.
